CID is the intelligence wing of Ladakh Police functioning as an eyes ears of the Government. CID Ladakh is headed by an officer of the rank of Senior Suprintendent of Police who is assisted by two officers of the rank of Deputy Suprintendent of Police who supervise Leh and Kargil District respectively. CID also conducts verification related to charracter, service, passport, threat perception, non-involvement certificate etc. In the year 2019, 2526 passport varification cases and 300 service related verification cases were finalized.
